Deadline Approaches For Annual Dryden School District Survey

Local News

The Dryden School District wants to hear from its residents through its annual survey.

“We use it extensively when we’re looking at our budget presentations and in prioritizing the budget,” said Dryden Superintendent of Schools Sandra Sherwood. “This year, we’re also looking at a major capital project, so one of the areas that people can address has to do with facilities…our buildings and things like that.”

Sherwood says so far, the results she has seen from this year’s survey are pretty typical.

“And then there’s always a couple of suggestions of maybe we could eliminate this programming and build in that programming. The leadership team really reviews all of this carefully, as does the board.”

Sherwood will use input from the survey to prepare for the annual Community Forum, February 6.

“Depending on what I see in the surveys I’ll create a whole bunch of small Power Points, so if those people actually come to the community forum and a question is raised, I have something to walk them through how the regs work in our world.”

The Community Forum Planning Survey is on the Dryden Schools website.

It’s reformatted from previous years and residents may skip any questions.

The survey closes Saturday at 4 pm.
