If you’ve taken out a loan or a mortgage since 2008, new reporting says your data may have been leaked.
More than 24 million financial and banking documents, consisting of tens of thousands of loans and mortgages from some of the biggest banks in America, were leaked online after a major server security lapse.
Banks including Wells Fargo, Citi and numerous others are currently scrambling to identify which customers had highly sensitive data, such as social security numbers, names, phone numbers, addresses, credit history, and other details stolen from hackers.
If you were affected, your bank should be contacting you soon.
However, the experts say that now would be a good time to change any of your old passwords.
