Dangerously Cold Wind Chills Expected For Tonight, NWS Warns

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Binghamton issued a Cold Weather Advisory from 7pm tonight until 10 am tomorrow, Saturday January 24. The NWS says wind chills are expected to reach as low as -25F. The advisory includes all of New York State.

With the well below zero temperatures, the NWS says frostbite could occur on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Residents are asked to use caution while traveling and to wear appropriate clothing including a hat and gloves. Pets should be kept indoors as much as possible.
