This year’s Dairy Parade will not be rescheduled to a new date after the parade was canceled due to poor air quality conditions from smoke.
“From the bottom of our hearts we want to send so much love to the Cortland County communities who come and enjoy the parade each year. This tradition is one that brings us so much pride and your attendance and love of dairy make us so happy!” Cortland County Dairy Promotion said in a statement.
The organization thanked Mayor Scott Steve, CPD Chief Sandy and the whole department, the Cortland County Health Department, and the numerous supporters for their assistance in the final decision to cancel the parade Tuesday.
Next year’s parade will take place on the first Tuesday of June, June 4th.
