Cyclist Airlifted After Serious Accident

New York State Police responded just before 8 o’clock at night Tuesday, July 18th, on Taughannock Park Road in the Town of Ulysses for a serious bicycle accident.


Troopers arrived to find a 56 year old Hollywood Florida man had sustained serious injuries. An investigation found the man on the bicycle was traveling eastbound on the road when an object got stuck in the front wheel of the bike, causing the bike to flip.

State Police say the man sustained head and facial injuries, but was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was airlifted to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital for further care. His current condition is unknown.
