Yesterday, four Syracuse women were charged with grand larceny for shoplifting more than $1k worth of items at the JC Penney store in Cortlandville.
Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department responded around 5 pm, but not before the subjects had fled the store after being confronted by an employee.
With the help of state police, authorities eventually tracked down and pulled over a vehicle on Interstate-81 in Homer, which contained the stolen material from JC Penney along with the following subjects:
- India Rheubottom, age 18
(714 W. Onondaga Street, Syracuse)
- Veronica V. Williams, age 30
(301 Wilson Street, Syracuse)
- Jasmine Felton-Brown, age 27
(107 E. Kennedy Street, Syracuse)
- Amanda D. Jenkins, age 30
(115 Henderson Street, Syracuse)
All four were arrested, processed, and released to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on July 13.
Their charges include Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree (Felony) and Conspiracy in the 5th Degree (Misdemeanor).
