Cuyler Man Arrested For Drug Possession in Cortlandville

Around 1:45 in the afternoon on Memorial Day, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assist call on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville. During the investigation, officers determined the suspect had an active arrest warrant through the New York State Police.

Officers arrested 52 year Jason W. Scutt of the Town of Cuyler for his warrant. As he was being taken into custody, officers found Scutt to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a Misdemeanor. Scutt was processed and released with an appearance ticket and is due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
