Governor Cuomo yesterday lifted all orange — and most yellow — zones across the state, citing a steady decline in cases and hospitalizations since the post-holiday spike.
Parts of Syracuse and suburban Onondaga County have been ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ for almost two months.
Tioga County also dealt with a Yellow designation over the past several weeks.
A 10 pm curfew remains for bars and restaurants statewide, along with a 50-percent capacity limit for retailers.
Cuomo said he may end up pushing the curfew back eventually. He didn’t elaborate on how late or when it might happen.
Workers at salons/barber shops must get tested every other week for the virus.
The governor also gave an update on the state’s progress with phase one vaccinations.
As of 11 AM yesterday, 96% of first doses received have been administered and 77% of second doses.
