The first annual Crown City Muralfest will take place this Friday, September 2nd beginning at 1pm at the Cortland Corset Building located at East Court St. in the City of Cortland.
The festival comes in part of the DRI funding the city received back in 2017, where $200,000 dollars was dedicated to a public art component. The festival is an opportunity for collaboration and public art education for the future Crown City Artwork Projects.
The event is free of charge, but a $5 dollar donation is suggested to help support future events. Some of the things to do at the festival will include: live painting by local and regional artists, craft vendors, local musicians, and a variety of artwork to see.
