The City of Cortland Police Department is reminding residents that if U Drive, U Text, U Pay, as the department begins their high visibility enforcement campaign.
CPD, along with other agencies throughout the state will be on the lookout for distracted drivers and work on their effort to keep texting and driving off the road.
From today, April 3 to the 10th, law enforcement will double-down on distracted driving enforcement. Distracted driving is a first level offense in a majority of states and continues to be considered a deadly traffic safety epidemic.
