COVID Rate Highest in Central New York

Central New York’s 7-day average of cases per 100K population is more than 27…highest of any region in the state, and more than double the statewide average. The State Health Department reported 9 new COVID positive cases as of Sunday in Cortland County.


The CDC rates Cortland County’s COVID-19 Community Transmission Level as LOW. Wear a mask if you wish, please do if you have symptoms, a positive test or exposure to someone with COVID. A vaccination clinic is planned for Moravia Elementary School Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 5:30. Bring your insurance card and vaccine card if you have one. Online registration is available.
