Cortland County has lost two more community members to the covid-19 virus.
Local health officials reported the latest pair of deaths yesterday (September 9), adding up to five this week after three others confirmed on Wednesday.
All five were residents in local nursing homes.
It now makes 71 total fatalities in the county thus far during the pandemic.
Currently, 176 people are infected with the virus, which includes five people in the hospital.
SUNY Cortland accounts for about 40 positives — and Tc3 just a handful — according to the state’s SUNY Covid tracker.
