Cortland County has a new Mobility Manager, Melissa Potter, who will continue to address the transportation needs of all county residents, especially those with disabilities, older adults and persons with limited incomes.

The county transportation system is now back under control of the health department, after a ten-year management partnership with Seven Valleys Health Coalition.

SVHC continues to offer subsidized transportation for low-income county residents through both their Transportation to Employment Program for workers; and the Supports for Health program.

Joining Potter to lead the new setup: Trisha Jesset, in her new role as Planning Director, and Ryan Reynolds, as General Manager of Cortland Transit.

“Melissa brings a wealth of public health experience to her new role as Mobility Manager. She is a strong advocate with proven ability to effectively collaborate with our community partners as we work together to continue to address the transportation needs in Cortland County,” said interim health director Lisa Perfetti. “We are excited to welcome her to our Health Department team.”
