No front license plate prompted a traffic stop Thursday evening on Whitney Road in the Town of Taylor.
The driver was identified as Lynnette Rickert, 51, of Pitcher.
Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies say they learned she was driving without a license, and had some methamphetamine.
Rickert was released until her next Taylor Town court appearance set for next week.
A man from Cortland was arrested by County Police Friday afternoon for felony Driving While Intoxicated – with a child in the vehicle.
Deputies say David Hartwick, Jr, , who is 25, was “acting suspicious” at a convenience store in Homer.
He had a two-year old child with him.
Police say they found Hartwick with amphetamine and a hypodermic needle.
Charges include Unlicensed Operation and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Hartwick was arraigned in Homer Town Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail awaiting bail and another court appearance Monday.
Early Saturday, at about 3:20 am, Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle being operated by Nicholas Peri, 22, of DeRuyter, on Union Valley Road in the Town of Taylor.
Police say he forced a patrol vehicle traveling in the opposite direction off the roadway.
According to the officer, Mr. Peri was found to be intoxicated.
The police report shows Peri was arrested and charged with DWI, Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content of more than .08% and Failure to Keep Right, and later released to a third party.
He is due back in Town of Taylor Court on March 21.
