County officials cautiously optimistic about events at Dwyer Park

But it comes with cautious optimism.

Cortland Repertory Theatre will not hold its summer season inside the main pavilion. Officials say logistics would be too difficult to manage.

However, they are planning more socially-distanced events like “Stories in the Park” over the summer and “Ghosts in the Park” during Halloween time.

The Fall Fiber Festival is still on at this point after being cancelled last year by the pandemic.

Additionally, county officials have taken dozens of reservations for summer weddings at the park.

Seven Valley Street Rods also wants to hold a car show sometime in September.

Each of these depends on local COVID-19 numbers continuing to trend downward.
