County Highway Dept Announces Upcoming Road Closure For Next Week

Starting next Wednesday, August 28th, Lower Cincinnatus Road will be closed on a daily basis, the Cortland County Highway Department has announced. The closure is expected to last for two weeks from 7am to about 3:30 in the afternoon.

The Highway Department says the closure is to allow them to change numerous aging culvert pipes. All work will be weather permitting. Lower Cincinnatus Road will be closed between McFarlane Road and Staley Road.

Road closure signs will be in place and those traveling between Willet and Cincinnatus are asked to utilize Route 26 as an alternate route. Work taking place will also help crew prepare for resurfacing on Lower Cincinnatus Road next year.
