Cortlandville Price Chopper Begins Checkout Campaign to Support United Way
The Cortlandville Price Chopper on Route 13 will be inviting customers of the store to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar during checkout to benefit the United Way. The Cortlandville store joins all Market 32 and Price Chopper stores in the region raising money for local United Way Chapters. The campaign will run through the end of this month.
“United Way works at the heart of communities to identify urgent needs and mobilize resources where they can make the greatest impact,” said Pam Cerrone, director of community relations for Market 32 and Price Chopper. “Every donation—often just a few cents—adds up quickly to help fund essential services. And because funds raised stay local, customers can feel confident their contributions are directly helping neighbors in the same communities where they live, work, and shop.”
According to Price Chopper, money raised will help advance the United Way’s work on addressing community needs that include food insecurity, housing stability, access to education, childcare, and financial empowerment programs supporting individuals and families.
The company will additionally match funds raised up to $10,000.
