Officer’s from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported domestic disturbance around 1:45 last Friday afternoon on Ridge Road in the Town of Cortlandville.
After an investigation by officers, it was determined 32 year old Jentre T. Bergman of Cortlandville, had caused serious injuries to a victim during a physical altercation that occurred at a different location shortly earlier in the day.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to a release by the Sheriff’s Office. Officers charged Bergman with Assault in the 3rd, a Misdemeanor. He was then transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released on his own recognizance.
Bergman is due to appear in Cortlandville Town Court today.
