A report came into the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office on allegations of sex abuse that took place between 2022 and 2023 at a location in Cortlandville.
Through an investigation by officers, it was determined 59 year old Delanne G. Shelton of Cortlandville, had inappropriately touched two victims on several occasions during the time period mentioned above. Both victims were known to Shelton with one being under the age of 17 years old.
Officers arrested Shelton on Saturday, June 24th, and charged him with 2 counts of Sex Abuse in the 1st, Felonies, and 1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Misdemeanor.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Cortland County Jail with no bail.
