Just before 4:30 in the afternoon on Friday, October 13th, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported harassment in Cortlandville.
An investigation by officers found 18 year old Kobe R. Tetreault of Cortlandville, engaged in a physical altercation with an 11 year old while on a school bus. The physical altercation that occurred showed Tetreault had struck the 11 year old multiple times and obstructed his breathing by placing the victim in a chokehold.
Officers arrested Tetreault and charged him with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Misdemeanors, and Harassment in the 2nd, a Violation.
He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed, arraigned, and later released on his own recognizance. Tetreault is due to appear in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
