Cortlandville Considers Changes To Where It Will Allow Gas Stations

Local News

A public hearing on a proposed Town of Cortlandville law allowing gas stations to be built in more areas drew about a dozen speakers to the Town Board meeting Wednesday evening.

Garry Van Gorder, Executive Director of Cortland County Business Development Agency was one who spoke in favor, citing the town’s well-known history of protecting the aquifer.

Cortlandville resident John Carroll urged the Town continue to continue to protect the aquifer water supply and repeated others’ claims that there are enough gas stations in the area.
