Cortlandville and Guthrie Announce 3-Year Sponsorship Agreement at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex

The Town of Cortlandville and The Guthrie Clinic have finalized a 3-year sponsorship agreement at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex off of Route 13. The Guthrie Clinic will be designated as the Official Health Partner of Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex.

Under the agreement, Guthrie will contribute $40,000 per-year for the sponsorship. The deal is good through March 31, 2028. The Town of Cortlandville says the agreement marks an important continuation of a valued partnership between the two and their commitment to enhancing recreation, fostering community engagement and supporting growth and prosperity.

“We are proud to carry forward our partnership with The Guthrie Clinic,” said Town Supervisor Gregory Leach. “Their ongoing involvement strengthens the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex and contributes significantly to our community’s success. We look forward to expanding this partnership in the years ahead.”

The town says Guthrie has been a dedicated supporter of the sports complex with the 3-year agreement helping to strengthen and enhance the overall mission and impact the sports complex has.

“Guthrie is proud to continue our partnership with the Town of Cortlandville in support of the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex,” said Jennifer Yartym, President of Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. “Investing in spaces that promote health, activity and community connection aligns deeply with our mission. We are committed to helping strengthen the region we serve, and this renewed agreement reflects our dedication to supporting families, athletes and visitors who benefit from this exceptional community resource.”

The Cortlandville Town Board voted unanimously to approve the sponsorship back in early December, allowing both parties to finalize their agreement.
