Cortland’s Seven Valleys Health Coalition recently worked with area officials to change sponsorship of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA program in Cortland County.
Seven Valley will take over the post from Alternatives Federal Credit Union. The VITA endeavor offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals like those who make $58,000 or less a year and persons with disabilities. Three late filing VITA dates will be available to those who need it this fall before the October 15th deadline, including October 8th 10 AM-4 PM at Access to Independence of Cortland County.
