
Cortland woman caught shoplifting at Walmart
Local News July 10, 2020A Cortland woman was arrested on Wednesday (July 8) afternoon after trying to steal $133 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on Bennie Road by purposely not scanning the items at the self-checkout register.
Investigators with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the store just after 12:30 pm.
Upon their arrival, officers located 29-year-old Susie L. Vinson, of South Avenue, in possession of the stolen material and in the presence of her two children, both of whom are under the age of 17-years-old.
Vinson was arrested, processed, and released on appearance tickets to Cortlandville Town Court on July 20 at 1 pm.
Her charges include Petit Larceny (Misd.) and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misd.).
