A Cortland woman has been arrested by officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office after a larceny complaint was called in at Walmart in Cortlandville on Tuesday, July 18th.
Officers responded to the store and found during their investigation 37 year old Nina Hopkins of Cortland, switched pricing barcodes on merchandise for a price of lesser value. It was also found Hopkins stole several items without paying for them.
She left the store on foot, but officers were able to locate her nearby and arrest her. Hopkins was charged with Falsifying Business Records in the 1st, a Felony, Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor.
Hopkins was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was arraigned and later remanded to Cortland County Jail with no bail. She is due back in Cortlandville Town Court today.
