Cortland County Sheriff’s officers arrested a Cortland woman Friday on multiple charges.
Law enforcement was initially called to the Town of Cortlandville Walmart for a theft complaint.
They determined 52-year old Alene Heath had stolen merchandise from the store. Health had also been issued a trespass order from Walmart preventing her from being on any property owned by the chain.
She’s charged with misdemeanor petit larceny as well as a felony count of burglary. Heath is released on her own recognizance and will appear in Town of Cortlandville Court to answer the charges.
