The City of Cortland Water Department will begin today the installation of a new 6-inch water main on Arthur Ave. in the City of Cortland.
Work on the project is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete. Crews will be notifying residents before planned water service interruptions. It is noted that emergencies may take place where notifications cannot be done quickly prior.
The Water Department is asking motorists who do not live on Arthur Ave. to avoid the street to limit traffic impacts. All questions on the project can be directed to the Water Distribution Supervisor, Justin Guernsey at 607-345-0012 weekdays between 7am to 3pm.
