Neighbors probably noticed the sound of the milling of Cortland’s Pomeroy Street on Monday morning.
Pomeroy is the first of about a half-dozen Cortland streets scheduled to be milled and eventually repaved.
Pomeroy Street, Elm Street, Port Watson Street and Valley View Drive are in the first group of streets to be milled this week.
Beginning on Thursday, April 26, or Monday April 30 (Weather permitting) Harrington Avenue, Rickard Street, North Greenbush Street and Clinton Avenue will be milled.
As Cortland DPW Director Chris Bistocchi puts it, “there will be inconveniences, but traffic will get through.”
