The Cortland County SPCA if now offering a reward of $2000 for information leading to the arrest, conviction, and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for the crime committed on March 5th. The reward is being sponsored by the New York State Humane Association and the Cuse Pit Crew with $1000 from each organization.

Cortland County SPCA responded to a location on East Holl Road in Cortlandville for a 4 year old female Pitbull abandoned on the side of the road in a cardboard box.

Cortland SPCA named her Bambi. She was found to be severely underweight with little to no body fat. It appeared that she was malnourished for quite some time. There were also excoriations on her head, hind limbs, and tail. She had continued follow up appointments for her tail and Bambi is now scheduled for a procedure in April that will resolve that problem.

To provide any information about the dog Bambi, and / or who may have abandoned her, or to leave an anonymous tip, please contact SPCA Senior Investigator Kelly Brown at 607-749-0824 or by email at KBrown@cortlandspca.org your information will be kept confidential.
