Cortland Sheriffs Find Spent Meth Lab Behind County Highway Department

Investigators with the Cortland County Sheriffs Department yesterday (August 22) found an inactive meth operation in a remote area behind the County Highway Department.

Deputies arrived at the scene on Traction Drive around 7 a.m. and located several spent “one pot” labs inside an abandoned tent, along with components used to manufacture the drug.

The New York State Police contaminated crime scene unit (CCSERT) responded to assist the Sheriff’s Office with cleanup.
