An update on the missing person case is below:
On June 13th, 2022, Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a reported missing person’s complaint involving 40 year old Muteb Alqahtani.
It is believed that Mr. Alqahtani went missing from his residence in the Town of Cortlandville. Through investigation, Mr. Alqahtani was last seen on Tompkins Street in the City of Cortland at approximately 9:40 AM.
Mr. Alqahtani’s current location is unknown at this time and this investigation is still on-going.
At this time, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has no reason to believe that Mr. Alqahtani is believed to be in danger and this office is requesting assistance from the public in locating him.
Mr. Alqahtani’s description is as follows: 
Middle Eastern
40 years old
Approximately 5’8” with dark curly hair and beard.
