Cortland Sex Offender Arrested After Failing to Update Residence

Back on June 13th, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a convicted sex offender living at an address he was not registered at. The Sheriff’s Office says 34 year old Nathan A. Prentice, who is a level 1 sex offender, was registered to live at an address in the Town of Virgil, but was found out to be no longer living there and failed to update his address with the Sheriff’s Office.

Prentice was arrested on July 26th and charged with Sex Offender Fail to Register, a Felony. He was already in the Cortland County Jail on an unrelated charge.
