Cortland School District Holding Silent Auction of Surplus Equipment
Local News November 11, 2019The Cortland Enlarged City School District will hold a silent auction this Saturday (November 16) to get rid of some of their old or surplus equipment, including desks, chairs, file cabinets, tables and other furniture.
That will be held at the Cortland School District Office at 1 Valley View Drive.
“We have a surplus of desks, chairs, file cabinets and tables,” said Business Administrator Kim Vile. “It seems there has been interest in the community for these items. We are hoping the Silent Auction will be a success and that many of our community members can come to purchase the items.”
District officials say much of their furniture is out-of-date, and they also have some surplus material from transforming from five schools to three schools.
Only cash or check will be accepted and items are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no holding.
The auction will take place from 9-10 a.m., with item pickup from 10-11 a.m.
