Cortland ReUse Awarded NYS Reuse Recycling & Reduction For Non-Profits

Cortland ReUse on Homer Ave. in the City of Cortland says their organization has been awarded the 2025 New York State Reuse Recycling & Reduction for the non-profit sector. The organization says they were recognized for their annual Red Dragon Reuse collaboration with SUNY Cortland.

The partnership with Cortland ReUse and SUNY Cortland marked its third year this past spring. Students at SUNY Cortland are encouraged to donate leftover things at the end of the spring semester so they may be used by others and kept out of the landfill. During move-in weekend in late August, a pop-up shop opens where Cortland ReUse offers items at low-prices for students.
