The results are in, and the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest has been named the 4th “Best Fall Festival in the United States” by USA Today’s popular 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, an annual contest determining the best in nationwide travel attractions.

Travel experts with the magazine select 20 nominees in various contests covering food, lodging, destinations, travel gear, things to do and so much more.

After nominees are chosen, readers are given the opportunity to vote on the winners in each category.

The 2019 Great Cortland Pumpkinfest will take place the weekend of October 5-6 at Courthouse Park in Downtown Cortland, running 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Festival-goers can look forward to a mix of attractions, traditional and new, with extended hours on Sunday this year for the first time ever.

Be sure to save the date for this fan-favorite festival, and keep up with updates at or at the event’s Facebook page.

“We are thrilled that USA Today and the traveling public have recognized Cortland County’s Pumpkinfest,” said Meghan Lawton, Executive Director of the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “To just receive a nomination of this stature, on the national level, is a testament to the work of the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest Committee, and now to be named Fourth Best Fall Festival in the entire USA – this is something to be extremely proud of.”
