Cortland Public Works Provides Update on Grant Street And Arthur Ave. Work

The City of Cortland Department of Public works is providing an update on the ongoing work on both Grant Street and Arthur Ave. in the City of Cortland.

Currently, both streets are in the process of having old curbs removed and being prepped for new granite curbing installed, Deputy Superintendent Bill Lund said to X101 News.

Installation of the new granite curbing is expected to begin on Monday, October 9th. Grant Street will be done first, then Arthur Ave. Lund says they hope to have all the work completed by the end of the month.

“I would like to thank the public and city residents for their patience during this period of upgrades. I would especially like to thank the residents of Arthur Ave.” Bill Lund said in regards to the work being done.

Work on Arthur Ave. was extensive this year. Work done included new gas lines, water, curbing and pavement.
