The City of Cortland Police Department took part of the Girls Day out at the Cortland YWCA on Saturday, May 21. Officer Lawrence and Officer Hilker participated in the event.
The day is full of activities designed to engage as well as motivate girls in grades 4 to 7.
The activities included gymnastics, swimming, and Ultimate Frisbee with the Cortland State Women’s Frisbee team participating.
There was also an interactive career fair that featured professional women throughout the Cortland area that introduced the girls to many career opportunities.
