Cortland Police Share Information On Three Arrests

Cortland Police report that a woman from the city was arrested Monday night about 7:45 pm at an address on River Street.

Officers say she punched a 45-year old man in the groin in front of two young children.

Police charged Bambi Dexter, who is 49, with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment.


Cortland Police Lt Rick Troyer also reported the drug arrest of Todd Linn, 31, of Cortland, just after midnight Tuesday.

Police stopped Linn on Kellogg Road. He was on a bicycle with no light or bell.

Police say they also found the drugs marijuana and molly on him.


Cortland Police charged two men from the city with criminal mischief early Monday.

Officers say Brandon Vail, 25, and Nicholas Sharpsteen, 26, were arrested Monday at 3:30 AM.

Someone called police after seeing the pair slashing tires and breaking the windshield on a vehicle in the Groton Avenue parking lot.

Officers say the men were caught nearby.
