The event was hosted at BRU 64 on Main Street and surpassed its goal of $1k by raising $1400, which now goes toward future delights to look forward to like Coffee with a Cop, the Stone Soup Luncheon, Shop with a Cop and many more.

WXHC’s Vinnie Bellardini was the feature MC for the night.

At 9 million scoville units, the chocolate bar rang in at 900 times hotter than a jalapeno and 4 times hotter than a Carolina Reaper, which is commonly known as the hottest actual pepper on earth (the candy contains an oil extract).

Videos of Monday Night’s event have reached thousands of plays on Facebook.

Embarking on the scorching challenge were Chief Michael Catalano, Dpt. Chief Paul Sandy, Sgt. Seth Rowland, Sgt. Anthony Natoli. and Officer Patrick O’Donnell – along with Officer Abbott himself, despite a canker sore he came down with just days before the event.
