Cortland Police Officer Kenneth Bush and K9 Lummel Retire From Department

After 17 years with the Cortland Police Department, Cortland K9 Officer Kenneth Bush is retiring from service alongside his K9 Lummel, who served 9 years with the department.




Officer Bush was a firearms instructor, tactical team member, assistant tactical team leader, field training officer, bicycle patrol officer, and of course, a K9 Handler.

The City of Cortland Police Department recognizes Officer Bushes leadership, knowledge, and exemplary actions as a K9 Handler for the past 6 years. He was also recognized for his service for our country as a tanker, serving in the United States Army for over 3 years.
