Cortland Police Look For Two Men After Scamming Multiple Family Dollar Stores – Suspects Pictured

The City of Cortland Police Department is asking for public assistance in identifying and locating two men who went into multiple Family Dollar stores in the Cortland area.

Cortland Police say both men attempted to load money onto cash cards and then scammed the clerks out of several hundred dollars and merchandise. CPD also say at one point at one of the stores, one of the men was able to reach over the county and push the cash out button that opens the register.

Both men left the scene before police arrived, but are believed to be operating a dark red/burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ryan Riley at 607-758-8308.
