Charles McCloskey of Loope Street in Cortland was wanted by the law.
Cortland Police say they caught up to him Tuesday evening for a warrant for misdemeanor criminal contempt.
The charge is connected to an incident July 30 in the middle of Groton Avenue, near Main Street.
Police say McCloskey is accused of beating on the window of a stopped car, even though a court had ordered him to stay away from the 39-year old woman driver.
Investigators say she took off to get away.
McCloskey’s due in court Wednesday morning to answer to that warrant and others with his name on them.
