Cortland Police reports the arrests of five people from inside a vacant home on Clayton Avenue on Sunday at about 1 am.
Police identified them as Joshua Shively, 24, and Andrew Fiorentini, 35, both of Cortland; Misty Fairweather, 38, of Marathon; David Bucanelli, 31, of Homer; and Michael McCloy, 24, who told police he didn’t have a place to live. (some photos were unavailable)
All were charged with Trespass, and Bucanelli was charged with having a needle and some methamphetamine.
Police say they were released to appear in court on June 22.
Criminal Contempt and Endangering the Welfare of a Child are the charges facing Charles Doughty, 33, of Cortland.
Cortland Police report Doughty was arrested Saturday afternoon at about 3:30.
Officers say Doughty had his 10 and 12 year old children with him, but started arguing on the phone with a woman that had a non-harassing order of protection against him.
Police say this frightened the children and that Doughty was released until court on June 27.
Abdul-Salaam Odu, 26, of Cortland was arrested Saturday night at 11 by Cortland Police.
He was charged with felony Robbery, Grand Larceny and Criminal Contempt, along with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Petit Larceny and Harassment.
According to police, just before 10 pm, Odu was at a home on Crandall Street, and pulled a 26-year old woman out of her vehicle and took her iPhone, wallet and credit cards in front of a three-month-old girl and a six-year-old boy.
Odu was sent to the Cortland County Jail awaiting $500 cash bail and a court appearance today (Monday).
Cortland Police say some marijuana, oxycodone, fentanyl, and morphine was seized from a car that Christopher Williams, 24, was driving on Grant Street.
Police stopped him around 4 pm Friday.
He told them he didn’t have a place to live, but officers did notice the variety of pharmaceuticals.
Williams was charged with Unlicensed Operation and the drug charges.
Police say he was sent to the Cortland County Jail awaiting a City Court appearance today (Monday).
