Cortland Police Arrest Woman For Assault Using Baseball Bat, Wanted Wednesday Man Caught Days After Being Featured

According to a press release from the Cortland City Police say an argument turned physical.

Yesterday, (July 19th) around 3:30pm police responded to an argument between two women.

Police say Shana Hunnicutt, age 44, struck the woman in the leg with a baseball bat, causing bruising and swelling. She was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon and assault.

She is currently being detained with no bail and is set to appear today. (July 20th)


City Police arrest man for grand larceny after he stole a vehicle back in June. He recently was featured as this weeks Warrant Wednesday person.

Police say, David Bucanelli was arrested yesterday (July 19th) for grand larceny that occurred June 23. He stole a motor vehicle from a residence on Pendleton Street.

He was arraigned and is currently awaiting his appearance in court later today. (July 20th)
