Cortland Police Arrest Would be Twisted Tea Thief

The City of Cortland Police Department responded to the 7-11 on North Main Street early Monday night, around 9pm, for a theft complaint.



When officers arrived, employees of the store informed officers that 18 year old Landon W. Velsor, who is listed as homeless, attempted to steal three cases of twisted tea from the back door of the store room, an area restricted to customers.

Velsor was arrested by city police and charged with Burglary in the 3rd, a Felony, and Attempted Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. He was arraigned and released to reappear in Cortland City Court at a later date.
