Cortland Police and Walmart Team Up Again For Annual Shop With a Cop – CPD Accepting Nominations For This Years Event

The City of Cortland Police Department and Walmart in Cortlandville along with the Cortland Elks Lodge and several others will be teaming up once again for the annual Shop With a Cop. Nominations are now being accepted through November 18th for a child to participate in Shop With a Cop.

Cortland Police is asking residents if they know a family that is experiencing financial hardship, health crisis, or a loss in the family as the department is currently accepting nominations for the event. Shop With a Cop will take place in early December. All nominees must currently reside in the City of Cortland.

Nominations will only be accepted through a completed form, found HERE. Cortland Police say each child will be given a specific amount of money to shop with an officer with Cortland Police. They will also be expected to purchase a gift or gifts for someone else in their family besides themselves.

Those with questions for Shop With a Cop are asked to contact Sergeant Patrick O’Donnell via email, Podonnell@Cortland.org.
