The City of Cortland takes the gold in a recent article by Realtor.com on the “10 Most Affordable Small Towns Where You’d Actually Like to Live” for 2023.
Cortland was chosen number 1 for its quick access to larger cities, local events, and affordable home prices. Currently, the median list price for a home in Cortland is $159,250.
“The community events are just wonderful here,” says Jason Hage of Hage Real Estate stated in the article.
Along with the accessibility, events, and low home prices, Realtor also highlighted Main Street in Cortland with its abundance of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, retail stores, and tattoo shops. However, the ongoing construction on Main Street was conveniently left out.
Other small towns coming in the top 5 were: Kearney, NE, Branson, MO, Sandusky, OH, Galesburg, IL.
