
Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies report that yesterday (November 22nd) they were called to Briar Meadow Road in the Town of Homer for a burglary.
Officers arrived on scene to investigate and found the owner of the home was keeping Hunter Brandon, aged 27, of Cortland in the home awaiting officers to arrival. He was taken into custody without incident.
During their investigation, deputies found that he had forced entry into an attached garage and stole a vehicle.
According to police, while leaving the scene, he became stuck with the vehicle in the yard of the home. He then returned to the attached garage and forced his way inside of the residence.
Police also say he was also driving while his abilities were impaired by drugs.
He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled for his next appearance in the Town of Homer Court on December 7th.
