Cortland Man Steals From Construction Site; Tries to Sells at Pawn Shop

Back on September 13th, the City of Cortland Police responded to a reported larceny complaint from a construction site on Church St. in the City of Cortland.



The reported item stolen was a large ground tamper. Through an investigation the ground tamper was found by Cortland Police at an unnamed pawn shop. Officer’s found that Matthew A. Kehn sold the stolen tamper for just $400, the value of these are $1,620 dollars.

Police also discovered he falsified records at the pawn shop. Officer’s located and arrested Kehn and charged him with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th and Falsifying Business Records in the 1st, both are Felonies.

He was processed and then released on appearance tickets.
