A Cortland man has been sentenced to 4 years in prison after admitting that he was found with drugs during a raid by Cortland Police that turned up weapons, drugs, and cash.
Back in January, Cortland City Police raided a home at 146 Tompkins Street and an apartment at 6 1/2 Park St.
Police found cocaine, heroin, MDMA, oxycodone pills, scales, packaging materials often used for selling narcotics. They also found a handgun with the serial numbers removed and over $1,300 in cash.
27-year-old Christopher Rivera and 24-year-old Christopher Quinnonez both of the Tompkins St. address were charged with multiple felonies including four counts of drug possession and one count each of criminal possession of a weapon.
Back in June, Rivera plead guilty to a single felony charge of drug possession as part of a plea deal.
Rivera faces up to 3 years of post release supervision when he gets out. He also agreed to forfeit over $770 dollars and a weapon.
Rivera faced 12 years in prison as a second felony offender.
